Location: Fair Oaks, CA

Hidden away in Northern California is the city of Fair Oaks. If you live in the area, you know that it is a special gem that brings a dash nature to this old quaint city.

Old Fair Oaks Bridge

Located at the end of Bridge St. (off of Fair Oaks Blvd) is the a prime location to take a stroll at sunset and take stunning photos! Golden hour can be a little busy, and we had to share the bridge, BUT it is so worth it. Between the structure itself and the breath taking views of the American River makes this a hopeless romantic’s dream.

Upper Sunrise Boat Ramp

Near the boat ramp access off of the other of Bridge St. and Sunrise Blvd., there is a boat ramp with plenty of parking, and access to the water. In the morning hours the sun shining from the East creates this soft glow and gently reflects off the river which makes stunning photos!

Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail

This paved bike trail runs parallel to the American River with little trails that lead to the water, and to the main road (Bridge St.). Even though it’s a busier bike path, there are patches that are on the side of the bike path that make you feel like you are in the forest.
